Crohn’s Disease Crohn’s disease is a chronic progressive disease of the gastrointestinal tract. It is estimated that approximately 46% of patients with Crohn’s disease have fibrosis of the gastrointestinal tract, resulting in stricture formation and intestinal obstructions, most frequently in the terminal ileum.
